What is SOC 2?

Basically, Service Organization Control 2 is a voluntary audit by a third-party (Centercode worked with Johanson Group LLP) of our security, availability and confidentiality standards to ensure we meet specific security standards.

The SOC 2 framework is an industry-wide accreditation developed by American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) to give software-as-a-service customers an unbiased criteria to determine if a company is protecting their customer data.

Why is SOC 2 Type II accreditation important?

By passing our SOC 2 Type II audit, Centercode has demonstrated that we have consistently maintained processes and procedures to protect AICPA established trust principles like:

Security: We have well-documented security policies and procedures and training programs and enforce policies with any vendors. It also means we follow security best practices to protect against unauthorized access (two-factor authentication, identity management, encryption, etc)

Availability: We keep our promises for guaranteed availability that we established in our SLA and we have systems to support disaster recovery, ensure performance and manage incidents.

Confidentiality: We keep your data safe from unauthorized access with encryption, access controls, firewalls etc.

SOC 2 is the gold standard for software-as-a-service companies and we believe demonstrates that Centercode is committed to data security so you can continue to test your products with piece of mind and confidence that we have your back.

What’s Next?

We are acutely aware how quickly technology changes! This is why Centercode consistently reviews how we collect, manage and secure data to make sure we are staying ahead of threats. To maintain our SOC 2 certification, we will complete annual audits of our security practices.  Additionally, we will seek to add other areas of trust to our SOC 2 certification and continue to evaluate other industry accreditations that help our customers feel confident in our security and privacy practices.
