New Resource: Beta Test Management Glossary

November 7, 2013

Beta testing has a lot of terminology. Those familiar with beta throw around terms like beta applicant, feedback loop, and test platform because we use these terms every day. However, it’s important to make sure that for members of your team that don’t manage betas day-in and day-out, there’s an agreed upon set of terms and definitions for your beta project. This way when one person refers to your “beta test period” it means the same thing to everyone.

Our newest resource is a glossary of all the common terms used during the beta testing process. These are terms that are used across the board for products of all shapes and sizes. The glossary not only defines each term, but also lists the relevant synonyms and acronyms. It’s designed to be a handy cheat sheet for anyone running or supporting a beta test.

So whether you’re running your first test or coordinating a beta program for an entire company, this resource gives you an easy way to make sure everyone is speaking the same language.
